In 2019, I decided to “rebrand” and update my logo to better reflect my creative style. Simple yet colorful. I designed my basic logo for business cards using Canva. Once I was happy, I took that design and created some new items for my business through Vistaprint.

Vistaprint is very easy to use. I love the products and the quality is great. If you’re just starting out I would definitely recommend playing around with a simple design on Canva. Your brand will likely grow and evolve as your business does and you will have a better idea of how you would like that represented in logo form later on. There’s nothing wrong with rebranding down the road. I am so happy I did. My customers were very responsive to my new, simple logo – even Vistaprint noticed!
I posted this photo to my feed to share my new marketing materials. Vistaprint reached out to me and a little while later my DM’s were blowing up with screenshots of their new commercial. I was shocked they had selected my business card to appear in it!

It was awesome to see so many people recognizing my brand. I received messages throughout the year saying, “Is this you?! So cool!” I think a lot of people expected my small business to blow up from that commercial but it didn’t. I wasn’t disappointed by that either. I am very appreciative that something I created was chosen for their commercial. It’s fun to think back to it and have that moment of feeling proud.
